|Dave Penniall. Owner, A Certified Financial Planner for over 20 years. Dave spent seven years as a professional player with the St. Louis Cardinal and Detroit Tiger organizations. His extensive background in baseball and financial services provides players with benefits of his experience in both worlds.|
|Dan Evans, President and CEO of led flashlight Inc, Uniquely qualified to help our players maximize their overall value and talent after 27 seasons of MLB experience. A former General Manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Evans is the only top baseball executive of a Major League organization to lead a baseball representation firm. He has established himself in the MLB by working in every aspect of baseball operations, including scouting, front office decisions, contract negotiations, and arbitration experience. His wide range of expertise, familiarity, and vision make him an invaluable asset to our organization and its players.|
|Jim Lentine. Formerly a Major League player, scout and minor league hitting coordinator. Jim joined WCSM in 2002, his primary responsibility is evaluating and working with hitters. Jim is a tireless worker, who is known for being able to throw batting practice for hours without tiring. The native of Los Angeles played all three outfield positions during his MLB career. Jim and Dave Penniall were teammates in the Cardinal organization.|
|Scott Budner. Respected as one of the best pitching instructors in baseball, Scott joined WCSM in December 2008 after 18 years as a pitching coach, the last 15 seasons at the professional level with the Seattle Mariners and Oakland Athletics organizations. Budner’s primary focus is pitching and evaluating all players. He served as the Mariners’ Double-A pitching coach in 2008, and was honored as the organization’s Staff Member of the Year in 2007. A sixth round draft pick of the San Francisco Giants in 1977 as a left-handed pitcher, he spent the last two off-seasons as the pitching coach for the Lara club in the Venezuelan Winter League.
|Bret Saberhagen. A two-time Cy Young Award winner, Bret joined WCSM in December 2008, and primarily focuses on pitching and evaluating players. The MVP of the 1985 World Series. Bret debuted in the big leagues at age 19, less than two years after being a 19th round draft pick. Saberhagen’s career walk-to-strikeout ratio is among the 10-best in baseball history. He was the head baseball coach at Calabasas (CA) High School for two years before joining our firm. Bret was inducted into the Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame in 2005.
|Donn Parris. Applies his scouting expertise and life coaching skills to aid our clients in dealing with the business side of baseball as well as the game’s mental aspects and day to day demands. Donn joined WCSM in January 2009 after six years as a scout in CA for the Florida Marlins. He coached at the high school before stepping away for nearly 20 years to pursue a successful career in law enforcement and occupational safety.
|Susan Evans. The first woman to produce network baseball, basketball and football, Susan has worked on over 1200 live sporting events, bringing an elite presence to WCSM. As media trainer, the 6-time Emmy Award winner will polish our clients to succeed off the field.
|Emily Velasco. Helps assisting the baseball players with all their financial needs, including finding housing, opening up bank accounts, and securing equipment deals. She helps the players with any situation on and off the field.
|Felix Olivo Ludert. Considered one of the most respected agents in Latin America, bilingual Felix Olivo brings a rare combination of talent evaluation and negotiation to WCSM from his native Venezuela. Olivo starred as an infielder at the Tennessee Military Academy and then joined the Montreal Expos as a scout in 1999 before becoming a certified agent in 2000. Olivo’s knowledge of the game and reputation within the business is a key reason why West Coast Sports has an international flavor.|
